We partner with companies that need low-volume manufacturing and low-volume initial production, whether as a bridge to full-scale manufacturing or as their long-term solution. Our adaptable low-volume manufacturing approach and expertise in product development helps minimize the risks when transitioning from engineering prototypes to a repeatable low volume production process. We are here to support your growth by effectively transferring the learning from low volume production and low rate initial production to large-scale manufacturing at the right time.
We’re currently pursuing our ISO 13485 certification for our production space. Reach out if you have any questions!
These consumables and capital systems are ideal candidates for low-volume manufacturing and low volume production, where flexibility, rapid iteration, and cost-effective scaling are critical. Whether you are in a low rate initial production phase or maintaining long-term low volume production, we tailor our processes to match your required annual volumes.
Annual Volume: 10s to 1,000s+
Consumables:
Multi-material, Fluidic, and Scalable Disposables
Annual Volume: 1 to 100s+
Capital Equipment:
Electromechanical, Fluidic, and Optical Products
Many projects necessitate certified clean rooms to prevent contamination of components. To enable this work, we have implemented an electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) across our production operations and are currently pursuing ISO 13485 certification. We also have over 1,500 sq. ft. of ISO 7 certified clean room space to augment our other controlled manufacturing space, supporting both low rate initial production and ongoing low-volume manufacturing programs.
Our in-house manufacturing capabilities allow us to reduce lead times and cost throughout the production process, especially for low-volume manufacturing and low volume production runs. While we maintain strong in-house capabilities, we also leverage a network of approved domestic and international vendors for specialized processes to support every stage of low rate initial production through to scaled manufacturing.
We partnered with the startup, Javelin Biotech, to develop the hardware platform that accompanies the biology approach that was invented by their team. Working directly with their biologists, we accelerated their design cycle for chip iterations from six months down to two weeks. We did this by using in-house CNC machining and diffusion bonding to rapidly create consumable prototypes to optimize chip features. We then converted the prototyped chip to injection-molded, laser-welded assemblies. We are now performing production assembly of the chips, the controllers, and two versions of their capital unit in our in-house production space.
